When we were growing up, I was constantly dragged (willingly) into all of Holly’s little schemes and games. I can still remember lying on her floor all night long whispering and giggling about our plans when we were older, who we were planning on marrying, kids and whatnot. Those are probably some of the fondest memories I have from my elementary school years. Now that we’re older, we don’t do a lot of the stuff we used too… probably more crazy and dorky things though, but I can honestly say, there is never a dull moment with Holly around.
We’ve been through a lot together. Probably more than some, but things always bring us closer together. It is rare that a day goes by when I don’t thank God for Holly. I can go to her when I need someone to pray for me or just need a shoulder to cry on. Even though she might not realize it, she pushes me to be a better friend and Christian. And I am very grateful to her for that. Yes, God has brought Holly into my life for many reasons, but being a friend to me is the best thing that she has or ever will do.
My family is moving a state away and I can’t bear the thought of not seeing her twice a week or more. Not seeing her smiling face and hearing her laugh. It will be very lonely without Miss Diller by my side. But I can always think of all the times we have had together, and wait until I can see her again. I love you Holly. Forever and ever.
